You paced nervously inside your living room, waiting for your husband to return home. You kept glancing at the folders on the table, hands cupping your stomach, protecting the newly discovered life inside. It had been an hour and a half ago when you had been sitting in the doctor's office, hearing the doctor tell you in her chipper voice congratulating you about your pregnancy. You had been so shocked hearing that, the news hadn't hit you when the doctor gave you the folder with the confirming test results and pamphlets, it hadn't hit you when you were driving home. No, the fact that you were pregnant didn't hit you until about twenty five minutes ago. When it did, you had collapsed on your couch crying tears of joy and anxiety into one of the throw pillows. It took a good ten minutes to stop the tears but when they stopped, reality finally set in.

How were you going to tell your husband? Would he be happy to find out you two had made a child together? What if he didn't want the child? You stopped your pacing and pinched your cheeks, stopping these negative thoughts, it was time to plan not panic! You took a seat on the couch and stared at the folders trying to think of how you were going to tell Lovino.

"Should I tell him as soon as he got home?" You wondered out loud before shaking your head. "No better wait, he's bound to be in a bad mood if he has to deal with rush hour traffic or if he he had a bad day at work." You tapped your lip in thought, thinking harder on how to do this. "Maybe I should soften him up first with dinner first...then maybe a message. That's bound to soften him up to be susceptible to the news." You smiled at that thought, it was perfect! And you had gotten a fresh supply of tomatoes so you could do a pasta dish with plenty of marinara sauce. With that you grabbed the folders and eagerly ran into the kitchen, hoping to have the food done before your husband returned home. Too bad you didn't notice the piece of paper confirming the pregnancy test fall out of one of the folders and on to the floor.

-Time skip a few hours-

You were humming a random tune as the tomato sauce was simmering and the pasta you had just pulled off the stove was draining in the caulunder in the sink. The oven dinged indicating that the bruschetta you made was done, with a soft smile you pulled out the bread and set it on the counter to rest. You grabbed the caulunder from the sink and deemed the pasta drained enough, then you dumped it into the waiting pot along with the marinara sauce.

Taking a glance at the clock you saw that you had maybe twenty minutes until your husband returned home that is if he left earlier or had no problem with traffic. You grabbed the bowl that held diced tomatoes mixed with basil and minced garlic, taking the spoon you had placed beside the bowl you then scooped out filling and laid it on the warm bread. It only took you a few minutes, quickly you skimmed the kitchen to see if anything was missing or needed to be finished. (E/c) orbs widened as you saw that the table was bare, groaning softly in annoyance at your own obliviousness, you grabbed plates and silverware. After placing them on the table you grabbed two wine glasses, filling one with wine from the wine celler and sparkling water in the other. You placed the glasses on the table, making sure that the water was in front of your plate.

"Am I forgetting anything?" You tapped a finger on your lips thinking as you tried to think of anything else that could be done. That was when you noticed the stereo equipment and an idea popped in your head "Music! That should be perfect!" You headed over to where the CDs were stored and began to skim through the collection, trying to find the perfect album. Finally you found the perfect CD, (insert album title), grinning you put the disk in the stereo and hit play. "I think that'll do for now," you said putting your hands on your hips, "now it's a waiting game until dinner is ready."

Heading into the kitchen, you decided to put the sauce covered pasta into a bowl and as you looked at the dish you felt something was missing from the dish. Oh! You forgot the cheese! Grabbing the cheese grater and began to shred a mixture of parmesean, romano and mozerella cheeses over the bowl.

"There, now to put the food on the table," you glanced at the clock, "yep, I have enough time." With that you began to place the food on the table, oblivious to the fact that your husband had just came in through the front door.

-Scene shift and lack of PoV-

Lovino quietly closed the door behind him, hoping to surprise (Name) by getting home early. As he removed his shoes, his nose picked up the delectable scent coming from the kitchen, smiling the Italian felt himself relaxing. Looks like (Name) had something planned for the evening, going by the music playing and the delicious smell of Italian cooking encompassing the house.

As the brunette headed for the kitchen, he removed his jacket and placed it on the couch. His coat slipped and fell on the floor, golden green eyes looked down on the floor and that was when Lovino noticed the paper. Curious he grabbed the jacket then the paper, as he placed the item on the back of the couch once more, the Italian began to read the paper. Eyes widened as they noticed the words pregnancy test and positive.

'(Name) is p-p-pregnant?' Lovino soon put two and two together, that explained the music and the food most certainly. She wanted to surprise him! Well then, the Italian smirked, he would just have to give (Name) his own little suprise. Folding the paper, Lovino placed it in his pocket, and headed for the kitchen.

Peeking his head around the doorway arch, the male was pleased to see his wife's back to him, grinning he began to creep up behind the unsuspecting woman.

"Ciao bella" Lovino whispered huskily into (Name)'s ear before nipping the shell. He grinned wickedly at the high pitch squeal and his wife's body jumping. (Name) turned and glared up at her husband, finding it hard to stay mad at the sexiness that was Lovino Vargas. "Did I scare you, bella?" (Name) had a hard time surpressing the shudder at the purring voice with the Italian accent.

"N-no" stuttered the flustered female, deciding it was time to welcome Lovino home. Framing the tanned face of her husband (Name) leaned up on her tip toes and laid them on the Italian's, the kiss started out light and chaste before getting heated and a fight for control. The two pulled apart, panting for breath and slightly flushed.

"So what's up with all this?" Lovino asked, gesturing to the food and the setup, already knowing what was going on.

"O-oh" (Name) stuttered and fidgeted nervously, all confidence seemingly gone out the window. "Well, I have some news and I figured we'd have a nice dinner before I tell you." (E/c) orbs watched as the brunette headed for the table and grabbed a bruschetta to nibble on. The female watched nervously, hoping that Lovino wouldn't grab her wine glass, luckily he hadn't.

"I see" Lovino said as he sipped from the glass, letting the wine work it's magic on his tastebuds and keeping an eye on his wife from his perepheral vision. "And what kind of news would that be?"

"W-well..." the (h/c) haired female fidgeted before catching herself and straightening her back. "It's a surprise" she said, hoping she sounded confident. (Name) looked confused as her husband smirked and took another sip.

"I see and your surprise wouldn't happen to include this would it?" Reaching into his pocket, the brunette pulled out the slip of paper he had put in there not even five minutes ago.

-Back to you-

You stared in surprise at the piece of paper, without even seeing the contents you just knew what the paper was. Sighing slightly in annoyance, you looked away and turned to grab the last peice of food that had yet to be put on the table.

"So much for a surprise" you muttered as you began to lift the dish. (E/c) orbs blinked when they saw tanned hands grab the dish and place it back on the counter. You were turned around once more to meet the concerned golden hazel of your husband's.

"Are you mad that I found out that way?" You shook your head at the question causing Lovino to smile and kiss your forhead. "Then why are you not smiling? I am glad that we are finally having a child together, I know we haven't been trying but I think we're ready. Don't you think so too, (Name)?" Tears filled your eyes and you nodded your head, unable to speak. Lovino continued to smile and wiped away the stray tears. "Then come, bella, let us celebrate together and we'll tell our families later." You smiled and grabbed the dish, only to blink in surprise when tanned hands slapped yours and grabbed the dish.

"I can still carry things, you know that right?" You asked in annoyance, pouting when the brunette grinned and continued to carry the dish to the table.

"I know, bella, but you're in a delicate condition from now until you give birth. It's time for you to relax."

"Well I can't quit my job just because I'm pregnant" you said stalking after your husband. He pulled out your chair for you, taking a seat, you were tucked back to the table.

"We'll compromise later, bella, for now we eat and celebrate. Soon we will celebrate again with our families and friends. Tonight is for ourselves." You sighed before grinning at the brunette.

"You're right, Lovi, let's enjoy the quiet before everyone else knows." With that being said, the two of you dug into the meal you had workd hard to make.

-A few hours later-

You and Lovino laid in your bed watching (Movie Title) to pass the time, your back rested against your husband's torso. The button up shirt that you had stolen from the brunette was unbuttoned, leaving you in your bra and underwear. Tanned hand rubbed your belly, yet to grow with the life inside, as Lovino was talking to the unborn baby.

Closing your eyes, you began to find yourself getting lulled to sleep by the motion of your husband's hands.

Well... Not the greatest but not too bad... I can't write accents for shit so that's why I didn't write Lovi's accent. I found this in my Finished Requests folder but it wasn't in the posted folder so I figured I'd post this before going off to bed in a few hours

Notes
- Lovino's job is working for his Grandfather's vineyard, but he covers more the corporete area like advertisement, creating something called campaigns (I don't know what they are in business terms just that vinyards have 'em), distrubuting, etc (Inspired from fanfictions and Nora Roberts's 'The Vineyard')
